Discussion: Ghosts and Hauntings

About this Post

Welcome everyone to our first real discussion. I would love to hear everyone’s opinions on ghosts and hauntings. Do you believe? Do you not believe? Or are you unsure? Why do you say you do or don’t?

My Personal Experiences

I have had a few personal experiences with the paranormal. I actually went to a haunted school for one year! If anyone has heard of it, the Farrar School House is claimed to be haunted. I stayed the night there a couple years back as I knew it was haunted when I attended school there in the 4th grade. I had a good experience of doors slamming, footsteps above, and a ball rolling down the hallway. It was a very good night.

Farrar I believe is haunted, but I do have to say, the place I have been to that is the most haunted, and actually kind of scary is called Tedrow Cemetery in Mount Ayr, Iowa. I have an EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomenon) telling us to stop it when we were talking about the occult. I do not follow any occult practices; the story behind it is that there were some people that use to frequent the cemetery and performing occult rituals. Every time I go there, there are shadows that come in and out of the car, run around the cemetery, and just all over the area. Another legend of Tedrow is if you drive your car into the cemetery and shut it off, and the headlights off, your call will not start up right away. Unfortunately, due to vandalism, you cannot drive into the cemetery directly, but you can park right outside of it. As a friend and I were driving off, we were calling the spirits names and calling them weaklings and so on because they couldn’t stop my car; the next thing I know, my car was stopped, going at 30 MPH. We later pulled into a rest stop, and there were hand prints that looked like they slid across my car in the way that they would have stopped it, along with scratches all over my car.

I will relocate this EVP and upload pictures to our new photo gallery. I will post the link to the gallery when I get the picture on it. What do you think? Have you had any paranormal experiences yourself? Comment, rate, and share this post. I want to hear your stories. Even if you believe it can all be explained, let me know what you think!

The Good and Bad News

About this Post

Welcome fellow friends, (I call everyone my friend unless you give me a reason not to)! I have some good news to share, but with that, I do also have some bad news unfortunately. Below I will talk about both.

Bad News

We will start with the bad news first. Unfortunately I was unable to successfully record and live stream the wedding of my friends Scott and Sarah Bishop; the internet connection at the church it was held was just too slow to be able to get anything good out of it. I want to extend my sincerest apologies to those who were counting on me. I let you down.

Good News

The good news is that some of his family and friends were recording the event as well, and I’m sure if you contact them you will be able to obtain a copy. Also, Ashley and I have started on the media gallery for the blog. We have a temporary one up, that I will post the link on a later date. Before I post It I want to get some content on it first, lol! Ashley I know is going to do a very good job maintaining the media portion of the blog, and I am so grateful for her doing it. 🙂

Wedding of a Friend

On 6/21/2014, at 3PM central time,  one of my good friends, Scott Bishop, will be married to Sarah Bailey. I congratulate them both, and hope they prosper well together. You can watch the event live on YouTube, or the video below. If the video doesn’t stream well, I will also be saving  it to disk so you can see it better when I upload the better quality version.

Good luck you two! Have a good life together.
